For Easter: Proverbios y Cantares VII

I have this quotation in my bathroom at home – yes, my bathroom, a good place for inspiration, don’t you think?

I love Jesus, who said to us:
heaven and earth will pass away.
When heaven and earth have passed away,
my word will still remain.
What was your word, Jesus?
Love? Forgiveness? Affection?
All your words were
one word: Wakeup.

The Soul Is Here For Its Own Joy)

One Response to For Easter: Proverbios y Cantares VII

  1. Mary says:

Hi Honey! Yes, yes this is a gem…just read this in O’Donohue’s ‘Beauty’ a few minutes ago:
    Poetry is where language attains
    its greatest precision and richest
suggestion. The poem is a shape of
words cut to evoke a world the reader
can complete. The poem is shaped
to enter and inhabit forgotten or not
    yet discovered alcoves …
    in the reader’s heart.
Will now step into the day and drop in on you later!
